ok guys i'm going to be getting an extra beta key for SWG. It will be here sometime this week. Because the person that i was going to give it to also got into beta i thought i'd offer it to one of ya'll. I'll get with Ace on the best way to handle it.
Just so ya'll know.. the servers are only on for about 30mins to an hour before they crash right now and it can be hours before they come back up. and there are ALOT of bugs in it still as you can expect in a beta. they are currently stress testing the servers and maxing them out till they break.
As far as how it's plays all i can say is WOW!!! It isn't like anything else out there. ATM it's comparable to everquest because they don't have 80% of the game working yet. but once they start impelmenting all the new coding in the next few weeks we are expected to see ALOT of changes. Right now about the only thing to do is run around and shoot things with a pistol, Carbine, rifle, hands , or stick. Most of the missions aren't finished yet so if you do a mission and do what it saws you may not get anything in return. But it looks like when you start a char you will have to do some missions to get to know how to play the game.. this lasts about an hour.. then you get to move to a starting city. there you meet ppl and the trainers. Visited Jabbas palace tonight which was awesome :) Most of the chars you see in the movies are in the game. and the char creation screen is the most amazing thing you've ever seen. there isn't anything about your char that you can't change. From height to weight to the length of your nose. it's almost as much fun creating chars right now as playing. But i have to say this game will be ALOT better than EQ or DAOC ever thought of being. the devs actually listen to the testers and commit alot of time to letting the testers know whats going on while the servers are down.. which is a nice change to most betas. I'll post some screenies tomorrow as soon as i can get on my brothers website and upload them. So till then See ya'll later :)
