View Full Version : Honor?

Hey,
for the first time I visited a -=DoW=- server and played the new Bridge map, exclusive to AA 1.7. I wanted to expand my sniping skills. I met nice people there, until I obviously had the 'misfortune' to say: Damn, in the presence of some -=Dow=- 'soldiers'.
Whence I was attacked like starving dogs upon a rotting carcase. When Mad_Angus came on, I inquired why the language policy was so strict as to block a word that 3rd graders are used to hearing, and for an online shooter game where you blow people's head's apart was the least of what the language can come to. He arrogantly kicked me without even talking to me about it.

I ask, does -=DoW=- have honor? Did they do the right thing? If that is how all -=DoW=- act then I'm ashamed I spent 12 hours wasting my life playing on the -=DoW=- sever, and I urge anyone to avoid these members at all cost.

I know I will never visit one of the -=DoW=- servers again.

The -=DoW=- server operate by these great things called rules, they are what keep out great country of americas great and strong, it takes the same on a server, it may not seem like a big deal for you to use a little bad language and you many not think that it is bad, but there are really you kids that play this game (starting at around age 5) now, tell me this, can you live with you self cussing out a little kid like that? These server enforce a strick no foul language policey and that is one of they things that make people so attracted to them.

Even if you go on a HomeLan offical they have language rules there too, not as strikly enforced but they have them. I see no reason to cuss when you can use a word such as "dang" or "shoot" instead.

Cuss to yourself in your computer chair, but there is no reason to bring your personal feeling onto a server.

I feel sorry for any parent who is worried about someone cursing out a 5 year old with the word damn, but not worried about him or her killing another human being.

There are rules that make America a good country.
There are strict rules that make a country a dictatorship.

Its not the fact that I cursed, its the fact that when I tried to talk to the admin about it, that GREAT American didnt see fit to give me my rights as a person (which is written in the GREAT Constitution: Amendment I, Amendment IX)

..
..
And I never cuss anyone out. Damns are in sentences like: Damn, <name>, thats a good shot, where'd you get me from?

I told you, I do not make up the rules by myself, but I enforce them. You asked why we are so strict on the rules and I told you to ask our master admin -=DoW-= Mad Angus for further discussion. I don't know what happened after that. We at -=DoW=- have our rules for a reason. If you don't like our reasons then stay off our servers and grow up.

I asked Mad Angus why damn is looked down upon and all he said is: You said it again. -> Kick.

And no, I do not need to grow up. I'm not the immature one. Paint me as the devil all you want, I did absolutely nothing wrong.

I said I am staying off your servers, but I dropped by your forums to say what is needed to be said.

And I've heard a lot worse in the forums from -=DoW=-, so dont give me this justification stuff.

...heh, cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war....

Mildric you are 19 years young. The D word you use as iff it is normale, Is a rule here.

I am a mom and happy about this rule. Here in europe it's not at all a word that they use on the street every day.

I wouldn't except it from my son and as an admin I would not except it on the game.

So you were kicked?Well be happy you didn't got banned.

When ever you think you feel like it was wrong to get kicked?Okay but dont argu with a administrator on the server.

Iff you red the forum and the rules like you said you did?

Than you know how to fill in a complaint.

THANK YOU ADMIN'S FOR YOU TENACITY IN ENFORCING THE -=DoW=- CLAN RULES OF BEHAVIOR. I STRONGLY SUPPORT YOUR DECISIONS (WHETHER I MAY AGREE WITH THEM OR NOT). THERE ARE AVENUES TO FOLLOW IF ONE DOES NOT AGREE AND UNFORTUNATELY FOR MANY THEY WOULD RATHER ARGUE AND WHINE. RULES ARE RULES FOR EVERYONE, NO ONE IS SPECIAL HERE, AND NO ONE IS "OWED" AN EXPLANATION. I BELIEVE IF AN ADMIN WOULD CHOOSE TO EXPLAIN HIS REASONS, ONE SHOULD CONSIDER IT A GIFT, NOT TO BE QUESTIONED OR ARGUED.

TO OFTEN I SEE GUESTS ON VARIOUS SERVERS ACTING OUT, BUNNY HOPPING, FLYING, GHOSTING, PLAINLY CHEATING AND IT INFURIATES ME TO THE POINT THAT I LEAVE THAT SERVER. THANK YOU FOR POLICING OUR SERVERS SO THAT THAT BEHAVIOR IS EXTREMELY MINIMAL AND MAKES THE -=DoW=- SERVERS THE BEST............
