This Cartoon was made by Joshua Held in 2002 (http://www.joshuaheld.com (http://www.joshuaheld.com/)) and as I know recording was made by Clyde McPhatter and the Drifters in 1954 (Bill Pinkney sings the bass lead) (Atlantic Records, 1954) and song was written in 1942 by Irving Berlin.
