hey everyone um what happen to the snipers server? can anyone tell me its been awhile for me to be on here, but anyways i hope all the older people i used to play with are doing well, as well as the ones as i have not had the previlage of playing against or with, i was on last in april but in july i had a car wreck and been down for 7 months with my leg but im better. but thats over and done with if any one can tell me and im sure there is someone please do so thank you and id appreaciate it see ya later

Hello m8. Long time no see. Glad to hear that are doing well after wracking the car!!!!!!!!

Now to the servers....! In 2.8 it is very hard to make a patch. CrazySnyper and Mschadt had a go at it, and made a somehow working patch. So that's why there are no sniper servers running. And......... there are not many active players left........:( But with 2.8 came a mission editor, and I think the only way to get a sniper server, is to do a map of our own. I have been looking around on the net, to find out if someone have done a map. But I think there are not many who had succeeded in finishing a map that worked.........!!

My impression was that you can't just make a map and stick it on a server, you have to like submit it to some Americas Army reviewers or something before you can actually use it. Not sure if there is an "unofficial" way around that...

You can make the map and put it on a non-official server. Then all the players would have to have a copy stored on their machine.

ok, i was just a wandering, ill keep checking back for updates if someone could keep me posted if they make a server, or something or on how that is going i miss that lol well ya'll have a good weekend and im gonna go try to play awhile

hey instead of makeing a new thread i figured id post it here, is there anything i can do to my computer to make it faster on my gameing i lag so much and its ridiculous, if any one can help itd be much appreaciated thank you

Check your ping!!! Press F1, and you will see your ping to the right. If you play a US based server, you schould have a ping of 30 - 40!! If not, there is something wrong with your internetcornection. Go for minimum 2MB cornection!!

Type "stats fps" in the console. It will then write the FPS in your top left corner of your screen. Hospital / Bridge will give you 60 - 70 FPS, and Interdiction / Snakeplain will give you about 20 - 30 FPS (FX5900XT). If it's lower than that, your videocard is TO old. If it's the videocard, and your system is AGP, you schould consider to buy a new computer. They don't produce faster AGP cards anymore, and you will get more of your money, with a Express card!!!!!
