Moving to Switzerland

Moving to Switzerland approx Sept. 1, 2009 for a relocation.
Will be there for about 3 years.

For business purposes. Wife is being transfered.

Not sure if I can help with any of that stuff about it working in CH but this is the equipment that is used for Sky+ Digital http://www.thedigiboxshop.com/index.html?gclid=CIjz1MSIzpsCFc0B4wodJgnKJA you would have to get in touch with their tec side of things. I do have sky myself but it is the old digi system no + on it no HD recording either. try this site & let me know how you get on..

Well been in Switzerland a week as of Today.
Me, Dogs, etc all made it without too much of a hassle.

I might be able to be in the UK next week. Will need to get a UK post code so that I can get that Sky Card thing. I'll PM ya later Boomer to find out where you live etc etc...

I should be there in London for 2 days maybe 3. Would be great to be able to hook up for lunch etc.. Maybe toss back a few pints :)

annual holiday time has been taken up now until Christmas.

from here because sky channels can be bought in most all European countries & received in English ...

Brits watch all their favorite programs when on holiday in Spain Greece
Cyprus etc in apartments & hotels...Have to admit I don't know about Switzerland though

See post 19 above. I messed up the dates :)
Wife is due to be in London this week. Thursday-Friday.

Don't think I'll make it this trip as planned. What I may end up doing is (if possible) Just having you pick up a sky HD box, add the movie packs etc etc and just pay you via paypal for it. There are 4 or 5 shops that sell the boxes, I just need to figure out what box :)

It looks like you are not going to be able to use my address..
Its because I already have a sky box & they have have this system were by they even know what channel you are watching & what equipment you use I don't have the sky + .. I have the old digi type the trouble with sky is they insist on fitting your equipment & to have + (plus) you need to have new twin LMB's fitted to the dish as a pose to the one

Plus I believe that shipping out there equipment to an EU country is a violation..
So I think you need to look into it lots or if you have a solution let no know.
