View Full Version : -=DoW=- Server IPs List?

Do you guys publish the IPs for your servers? I couldn't find any listed on your web site (besides the -=DoW=- server in the Live Status section).

At one time, I was smart enough to write down the IP for VII and the one in your Live Status area, so I only play on those two servers. However, since your servers aren't listed in the AA game browser, I can't find the IPs for the other servers. If those are "members only" servers, then that is okay with me. I just didn't want to be missing out on the rest of the servers.

thanks,
Shur

unfortunitly VII is on a dynamic IP which meens it's IP changes any time I unplug it or shut it down for a while. Right now VII's IP is 129.7.144.249

-=DoW=- 4 is also a dynamic IP, I think. And it's only part-time at that. Not my server though, so I don't have any info for ya.

-=DoW=- 1 is our only guaranteed full-time server. (Although it does experience some downtime, it's not often.) It's the only server I know of that is, and always has been listed in the in-game browser.

If you really need that IP, I can dig through my config files and find it in one of my keybinds for ya. Or AceDeal might be nice enough to come in and post it for you himself.

I've been using the same IP for IV since it first came up. I think mine is the only one with a dynamic address. The only reason my IP keeps changing is because I keep mucking with my setup.

But for a list of IPs as of last I checked

Always Up
-=DoW_I=-
12.237.241.252

Lost to RavenShield
-=DoW_II=-
64.81.110.188
-=DoW_III=-
64.81.110.188:27017

Up but running 1.3.0 as of today
-=DoW_IV=-
206.45.95.119

Don't remember the last time I saw these up.
-=DoW_V=-
205.200.65.34
-=DoW_VI=-
66.169.93.56

Up running 1.4.0 now (and if someone could clue me in as to why it doesn't show in the game browser let me know)
-=DoW_VII=-
129.7.144.249

Thought 4 was one of Biegne's? All I remember is I could hardly ever log on with a keybind two days in a row without changing it.

You sure your line in the ini is correct and the port is open?

ServerActors=IpDrv.UdpBeacon
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerQuery
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.gamespy.com MasterServerPort=27900 DoUplink=True
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.qtracker.com MasterServerPort=27900 DoUplink=True Updateminutes=5 queryport=8777

Make sure that it's on one line. I lost the gamespy updates when the masterserverblah blah blah line had a cr return near the end of it and split the line.

Anyway all Servers running under the -=DoW=- tag need to make sure that at least this line is in there so that I can monitor who is oneline in realtime.
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.qtracker.com MasterServerPort=27900 DoUplink=True Updateminutes=5 queryport=8777

yep that line has been there all along. I think it lost me when my IP changed last. Not sure how qtracker works but if it needs my IP make sure it is set to 129.7.144.249

What OS's and sytem config's are you using????

I just thought it would be a handy guide for people who may want to setup and run a server!

This is the same comp that I game and server on. For just a dedicated server you could probably get by with less

Thanks for the big list!

I like using the servers that are not listed in the AA game browser. I think that the "hidden servers" reduces the number of people that don't understand or won't comply with the server rules.

The only two that I have gotten to work since your post has been servers I and VII. The Bridge and River Basin maps. Is it possible ( :) ) to get the Mountain Pass map running again?

HI there guys. I have just come back from holiday (which is why I haven't played for a while) and have had to reformat my computer but I can't get the -=Dow=- servers working. I can see them on gamespy but I can't play them or see them on the AA game list. I would be greatly apprichiated if somebody could help me with my problem.
Thanks

Gamespy has a habit, even when you do a total reload of the server list, of not taking out the old ones. So if you had like say;
dow1-10 showing in the list before 9 times out of 10 they will still show up in the list even thought they are not there.

Currently dow_1 and dow_iv are the only 2 running. (dow_4 had dynamic Ip so it may change every day :) ))

Is there any other way of getting onto the -=Dow=- servers without using gamespy? Cause before I reformatted the comp all the servers were on the AA server list.

I do not use any of those proggies for connecting to the games,
I just do a manual connect.. ie

Open game console with the ~ key, that's the tilde key

then type open 12.237.241.252 or what ever the IP is..

Try 12.237.241.252 (DoW I). That is the only one that I have had any luck with. Also check out HALO and OC sniper servers, I think they have the same rules.

you don't have to have 2 computers to run a server. I run a server and play AA at the same time on my computer. the only thing that u can't do is play on your server because it will crash a lot. but i can still admin on my server while it is runnin, just can't play on it :(

TR-JustinMc06-

u can also do the hallmaker server, it has the same rules for the most part i think. and the HALO snipers only is on a dyamic IP too, so i changes abotu every 10-15 hours cuz i have to disconnect at teh time cuz of the damn worm or something that i have. but the hallmaker is open 64.200.90.200

I have tested all Ips in this tread but Noone works i have just one server to play at
12.237.241.252
Its a bit boring with only one server!
I use AA Forward observer because i cant see -=DoW=- servers in "game console"
can anyone help me get the correct ip:s

IsZi

I know the -=DoW=- 1 server can be seen in the in-game browser, and that looks like the right IP. That's currently our only full-time, always-on server. All the others are part-timers, so you might have caught them in their downtime.

-=DoW_II=- (formerly 7) has been up for a few weeks but is just now showing up in the game browser. I have it set to Mountain Pass with 10 players it was full last time I checked. IP is 129.7.144.249

Ya I think I fixed the problem had a few conficting blocks in my fireway now it shows in all browsers and has been full most of the day. And as Ace said somewhere ASE is bad about showing servers wether they are still there are not.
