Required Name Change? (what about after v1.5?)

Hi again,

I was reading on the AA forums that the devs are currently working on incorporating Squad tags, so players don't have to create a new name. This will help them be identified by Squad/Clan and let the person change their name without losing honor.

I think the first thing they will do is a simple name change form (see http://www.americasarmy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?topic=36489&forum=15 ). Then in a few months, they may have the Squad/Clan tag thing working.

If we complete the recruitment process this month or next, can we wait until v1.5 to see if the name change feature is added? This way we can keep our honor, etc.

Here's a thought: How about you just make the new name, and if/when the name change feature is added, just switch back to using your old name and throw on the tag?

Wouldn't that work just as well, especially since the name change feature is a rather tentative one, from what you're saying?

That is true as a Beta tester I can do that now If I wanted to... and it is good news for shure :)

That sounds feasible, but I am going to wait until I become a DoW member before tagging my name with the "-=DoW=-" tag. Otherwise, players may think that I am a DoW member (before I actually get accepted) and that would lead to a lot of confusion.

If you registar your -=DoW=- tag before 1.5.0 comes out you may not beable to change your current name (with Honnor) to the -=DoW=- tag name. Since it will already be taken.

i think you are wrong if they will do add a word before name probably they add change name.

Well there is not much you can do if they are playing on other servers that way though.... But ya I Would kickban them on my servers too... :)
