Thanks, tried a program suggested by Ultim8, but the "server" is not reachable.

did you make adjustments on router/firewall? Like opening port 21 on firewall and route FTP from outside to furious computer?

Well, yeah I opened the port (9032) on my firewall, aŽnd, what may be a problem, I am trying to connect to my PC FROM my PC

FYI Fan, 9032 is not a standard port for FTP. try opening 21, or setting the FTP software to use port 9032. What program are you using for the server?

Yeah Maury, got that, thnx. I used the prog GuildFTP, set the port to 9032, and freed my firewall to let 9032 thru (only 9032)

You may also need to open a set of ports for passive mode transfers, like 2048-3072 or something like that, and set the server up to use your external IP for broadcasting to clients. Unfortuneately, im a very visual person, so i can't really explain in words how to do it. The easiest thing to do may be to just put the server computer in the DMZ for a little while. THat will open it wide to the internet though, so be careful. I don't know how worried about security you are, but it is an option.
