That just means that you can't host a game on a Mac. You can play on other servers with it, but they haven't set up a server program so that a mac can host the game.

Update on the mac story.
I have downloaded the mac version 1.9. Burned it on a cd.
Toke the cd to my sisters house and tryed to install the game.
But it doesn't reconize the file that is on it. :(
File name is armyops190-mac.dmg.bz2
Do i need to have a program to install it.
Please if there is a mac user (i can't believe there is) let me know

cecoto that is a zip file for mac and for linux

depending on which mac os she uses she can unzip it from commandline or usually just double clicking on it will open the right program to extract the files out of it.


if you need the actual command to unzip it let me know and I can post it for you.

I think its a variant of the old Lharc compression utility. Anyway at the moment mac's, linux and i think most php forums are packed this way. Try this.

the file type is bzip or bzip2 (forget which one specifically) and I thouht it was a default install as part of Mac OS X but you should be able to download and install that as well.

I tryed to unzip it on my windows pc and it worked with winrar but i don't think that that will work on a Mac.

Is unzipping with winrar on a PC, burning a CD and then all into the Mac an option?

bunzip armyops190-mac.dmg.bz2 should start it to decompress

if you get an error message it could be a corrupt file or bad crc's

last resort would be to do as Ultim8 suggested

Can't do it like that because the file is more than 1 gb

cecoto yes that should be the command to unzip unless sister doesn't have bzip installed.

if that command fails search google for bzip and install it.

:cry: O man i really do not like MAC
I unzipped it but he thinks it is a text document and want's to open it with a programm called simple text.
I called some one and he said i need Mac os 10 to read a dmg extension and the os on the mac is 9.02.
i guess she needs a upgrade.

i am a mac user, mine works just fine, except for Teamspeak :(
They wont have a version of ts for mac for a while so u wont be hearing me for a while.
