well my girlfriend is back in school(thank god she only has 2 more years left of high school), and as usual she got a writing assignment that proved to be difficult. She was to write a myth and was supposed to be 2 pages long. Well I ended up writing it lol like I usually do and it turned into a 4 page story that got 36 out of 40. Here it is.

In a time long ago there was a man like no other; his name was Ryun. He was a warrior who had explored many planets and knew many languages. During his adventures he encountered countless dangers. An evil commonwealth had destroyed his home world and his family was enslaved along with many others.
Some people say he is immortal, some say he's a ghost. But everyone fears his blade. It's told he can move things with his mind and even make you believe things he wants you to. Few people have seen him, those who have say he is almost gigantic. Most describe him as a large man with a flowing cloak, and under his cloak he's said to wear a very dingy old tunic. But no matter what he wears, it's what he carries in his hand that deals the damage.
Many say his blade was made from the parts of an assassin that he destroyed when it attacked his village. Others say he made it himself from parts he found in the rubble of his home world. Those who have seen it and lived are few. And those who have lived are driven crazy; in the silence they hear its blade hum. They all however agree that it’s as long as he is tall. No matter what is said of it, it is something to be feared.
In a quest for vengeance he finds strength with a group of rebels fighting the evil commonwealth. Making his way across the systems he has many run-ins with assassins from the commonwealth. And every time he battles the story gets spread farther and farther. Many rumors of his exploits seam far fetched, but only himself, his team, and his victims know the truth.
As Ryun nears the commonwealth home world, he devises a plan to destroy them. He and his team will place explosives in the planet’s power plants and detonate them remotely while the rebels bombard the planet. The rebels and his team agree that although they are few, the plan is their only hope.
As Ryun and his team depart Morel the team leader and the other members vow to protect Ryun at any cost. They board the star skiff and hide in the light of the sun as they break orbit and descend. Slowly and carefully they glide through the thin atmosphere of the planet. They land safely near the secondary reactor, and begin their dangerous mission.
With a communication from Ryun the rebels speed from their hiding spot behind a nearby planet and begin the bombardment. Met by great resistance the rebel star ships stand little hope by themselves, if they’re to succeed Ryun must hurry. With each blast large craters form on the surface of the wasteland. Dust from the explosions clouds the thin and almost gravity free atmosphere.
On the surface Ryun and his team make their way through the tunnels around the power core of the secondary reactor. After fighting several commonwealth guards they find the core. While Morel places large plasma charges around the controls and focusing crystals, Ryun readies mines to booby trap the charges so they cannot be removed. As Ryun places the last mine an alarm sounds, they must now hurry or the commonwealth may foil them.
Running down an air duct towards the primary reactor the team is startled as the floor is blasted out from beneath them. As the fall to the ground they see through the dust a platoon of commonwealth elite guards. The only way to the primary reactor is through the elite guards, the team will have to fight through them.
Mustering up every ounce of courage the team shouts as they blast and chop through the horde of guards. Ryun’s blade hums as it slashes through bone and flesh like a hot knife through butter. Morel’s pistols never seam to stop firing as he lays waste to his enemies. Either by luck or sheer determination the team slays every guard as they charge through their ranks.
Ryun tells the team to head back to the skiff without him and that he’ll find an alternative route off the soon to be doomed planet. Morel disobeys and turns back to follows Ryun keeping a watchful eye out for more guards. Carefully Ryun slips by several patrols and makes his way to the power core. Morel stumbles in warning Ryun to hurry, because a whole battalion of elite guards is marching right for them.
Ryun tells Morel to blast a whole though the wall and not to wait for him while he finishes placing the charges. Morel agrees and rushes through the whole leaving Ryun behind. As he places the final charges Ryun hears the guards down the hall. Knowing that he will not make it in time Ryun decides the make a stand at the reactor and buy time for his comrades.
With a great shout he rushes into the ranks of the guards violently slashing his foes. Parrying and thrusting he slays over half the battalion. Giving a thrust of his hand a large wave of energy pushes the guards back. Ryun runs back to the charges to set the timer and then locks himself in the hallway with the guards. Using every last bit of strength he defies death and kills every last guard.
In his victory he allowed his comrades to escape into space. Watching through a porthole as the secondary reactor explodes, Ryun kneels and waits for his own death. As the primary reactor explodes every inhabitant is killed. The planet is left as nothing more then a gray crater covered moon, which still orbits Earth to this day. That is how the rebels defeated the commonwealth and how the moon of earth became a baron, cratered wasteland.
