Does anyone here play BG I or II?

I've been trying to find some people to have some BG discussion with and I can't find anyone who has played or does play this game.

My current BG2 party is

Me - Cavalier
Minsc (human ranger)
Korgan (dwarven battlerager)
Jaheira (half-elf fighter/druid)
Viconia (drow cleric)
Jan (gnomish illusionist/thief)

Working out well, I have a patch that lets any alignments get along so I don't get some fights to the death between off aligned party members..

This group is doing pretty well right now but then again I just got to the slums with them as they are brand new. The real test will be Firekragg. With the smarter dragons patch I hear he's a real challange now so I can't wait :)

Nahh..no fun that way.

For those who haven't gotten the Tactics patch for BG2, I HIGHLY recommend it. Makes the game a real challange. Now the mind flayers and vampires are worthy opponents and dragons are truly something to be feared.

I just about lost my party earlier in a fight against Mencar Pebblepusher...man, that guy was tough at my level. If it wasn't for Jaherias "call woodland beings" spell, I'm sure I would have lost a couple of people.

Fear, I have also tried a small party but didn't get far.

I tried a Monk, Minsc, and Viconia but it didn't work out that well. I wanna try to solo the game with just a Half-Elven Fighter/Mage/Thief all by himself. I'm told it can be done, but I don't think I can do it. With some of the patches I have added to my game, some of the fights are just too hard I think for a solo character to make it through.

i got one reason for having a small party..they are all imported carachters, where i have previusly completed the game so i dont need a bigger party at the moment

Sorry for not posting quicker. I use all 3 editions. I pretty much leave it up to my group as to what rule they want to play. Only standing rule is that once in awhile they run a small campaign so I can get a break once in a while. Some of my favorite characters are from 1st edition.

Allessir, i would love to get some of your info!! :banger: :banger: :banger: I am still learning all that stuff, maybe a few pointers if you have time.?

Onto BG1 & BG2 fewer characters means way more experience. i normally start with the four and dont increase till chapters 3 and above, by which tim i am kicking buuuttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Allessir,

I was talking about the BG1 and BG2 PC games, no the tabletop ones. But on that note, I just started a new campaign for my rpg group. My main player (my wife) is playing a Cleric dualed classed to a Psionicist. It's looking REALLY powerful at the moment and that's without my help lol.

I have them running in a world that is a mix of Forgotten Realms (for the land masses and the cultures), Dragonlance (for the characters and creatures), and some of my own work (to fill in what I didn't like with the other two).

It's working out really well at the moment but I need more players lol.
