Is anyone really smooth w/ Mdk 9.1? I've researched the heck out of these problems, and I'm not finding much.

I've installed the ALSA sound driver (I'm running KDE) and I am getting sound via MPG/System sound... but in teamspeak something weird is happening. When I go to my local options, and go into local test mode, my PTT button doesn't do anything, nor is there any activity when I use VOX mode. I can't hear or talk in channels either. Interesting symptom: When I use my default sound driver, my icon switches to muted. When I use my defualt network sound, my icon is normal, but I still can't get anthing working. My mic does work in the native sound recorder though... I have an intel i810 onboard soundcard running in a compaq evo 510S.

Also, doesn anyone know what entries to use in the XF86Config file in order to specify a micro innovations 4 button (and 2 wheel) USB optical mouse? It WAS working until I started messing with my soundcard options...weird, I know. Now I have no mouse activity at all and can't even log in to my x session.

I learn quickly, but don't have a whole lot of education on the linux side, any advice is welcome!! Thanks, folks!

I'm still having soundcard problems in AA... I got teamspeak to work under the ALSA driver.... but AA is silent...

AA is probably trying to use the arts sound driver which is usually the default in MDK 9.1.

look in modules.conf and see if it is being loaded as a module (the usual configuration unless specified otherwise.)

also look in there and see if it is loading alsa (if it is loading both see which is loading first and if needed switch the order.)

also look in MCC (Mandrake Control Center) and see if it is loading arts as a service (or other sound service besides alsa).

ohh also you can jump on irc (use freenode irc server) and goto #mandrake and I know someone in there can help get it working.
