I was wondering, does anyone here play a musical instrument??? i play the trombone and the baritone, i hope to be a music teacher one day! what do ya'll play?

kool, we have a student teacher in my class who playes the bassoon, he is awsome at it. Double-reed instruments sound so cool

I can play violin, viola, cello, and bass (string instruments :mrgreen: ). But I'm primarily good with the violin. I can also play guitar fairly well.

One thing that I can do, which is fairly uncommon, is play several Indian Classical instruments. These consist of the harmonium, tampura, tabla, and sitar. I learned these because for the last 12 years I've been taking Indian Classical Vocal lessons (Hindustani). I've also been taking voice lessons since I was 5.

Singing is probably by far my favorite thing to do. I've been in a choir since like forever (or since I was 5). But don't worry, I won't burden anyone on TS with my singing. :mrgreen:

I have been playing Bass (guitar) for 2 years, I am not musically gifted and it seemed easy to learn. Enjoy a good jamming session with friends, of which 2 are excellent electric guitarists and the other is a drummer. We are in the process of starting up a band.

woohoo! finally another bass player :) I have been playing bass for almost a year now and am taking it extrememly seriously, I am looking to make a living out of it, I too am jamming with friends and possibly will get a band started, but i still think i need to progress and polish up my skills and learn more techniques :) Rock on Furious :banger: :banger: :banger:

I've played the sax(alt, tenor, bariton, soprano) for 8 years, even played in a 9 man band, rock and roll!!

I've played bass guitar for a couple of my friends' bands. Pretty much the same as playing a string bass; you just hold it differently. :mrgreen:

im in jazz band thats is city recognized in cincinnati. I am also in the MARCHING BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its so great, we have our final competition on sunday, at state. At all of our comps. we've either gotten 1st or 2nd!!!! and thats saying something.
