Linking to the FTP

Do we have an SOP relating to the correct way to link to files on the FTP server? What's the appropriate url for a user upload folder? Any help is appreciated. :spion:

I'll have to bring this up at the next meeting i guess, unless Ace responds before hand. I doubt videos are ok, but MP3's maybe. MAYBE. And only on the forums.

That's my purpose... if I'm going to start posting more of my songs, I'll need help hosting them... I only have 20 megs w/ my ISP.

What I mean By linking.
I do not want other sites linking back to -=DoW=-.
If you want to put your music on the FTP and Display it here on our Forums, that's what the FTP server is for.
How you go about that is up to MM and Rogue.

As far as the users upload Directorys are concerned, I really do not think that they are viewable by anon users / anon http ..?? MM??

The only directories linkable through webserver are sigs and avatars directories. Maybe rogue can add another one, or we can just use either one of those for other stuff like mp3's, jpg's etc. As long as the bossman says its all good (which i was assuming he would ;) )

should be the proper syntax for linking in the forums. You can also replace "images" with "ftp"
