this is just a copy and paste of what i did for the Oc server. Please note. you will note need to do the server.ini file part.
Any DoW wanting to set up a server need to talk to acedeal about the server.ini file that he has you use
Hey everyone. Im gonna make a post here about how to make an AA server for your computer.
PART 1: REGISTER
First you need to get a server account at http://www.americasarmy.com/register.php

second once you have got your account u should recieve a virvcation e-mail. I think you will be able to figure out how to get the account.
the you need to Log in to maintain your server list and log in. or just click here http://www.americasarmy.com/account/serverlist/login.php
Once you what go loged in go to "add a server"

open up a new window and go to www.whatismyip.com and copy and paste your IP from there into the server IP box. please note: if you have a dymanic IP you need to to this everytime u dissconnect from the internet. there is no way that i have found around this.

Fill in the rest of the boxes and click "add"
then go to http://www.americasarmy.com/support.php and click on the java client thing on the right. once you are in ask the admin in there something to the affect of "can your please authroize my server, i have added it to the list, the IP is 12.345.67.890 (your IP) they will try to ping it, if it does not go open the following ports on your router/firewall and have them try again. UDP ports 1716, 1717, 1718, 8777, 27900 and TCP 20045
read the instruction for your router/firewall on "opening ports"

then go to "save as" go to my computer->C:\ (or drive AA is installed on) -> Program files -> Army Operations -> System. Name it "Server.ini"
Were "Save as Type:" is it says "Text Documnet" by defalt. Change this to "all files" and then save it. It will ask you if you want to override and click "yes"
Now it is time to get HAOM

Un-check the "allow cheats" if you are not going to be runnin a snipers only server.
Before you can go fully public please go to www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest or anyother internet speed test site and i will give you a max amount that you can host. Run both an upstrean and downstream test, post both.
Time to get it a shot :lol:
