Some of you may have noticed I haven't been on the 'boards, or online at all, for the past few days. Here's the deal.
There was a water leakage in a pipe outside of my room that went unnoticed (somehow) for at least 24 hours. Due to this, I came home one day to find half of our carpet thoroughly saturated. The good news is, it wasn't the half that my computer desk was on. The bad news is, in order to clear that half of the room, I've had to shove everything over to the other half, blocking my computer.
Efforts to extricate the water from the carpeting, and the mildewy smell from the room, have been slow due to my long-hour work schedule, and the fact that Jami cought a severe cold that I'd brough home from work, and has something akin to an asthmatic reaction whenever she goes into the room for an extended period, due to the humidity and smell in the air. (Although we'd left the window open for a couple days.)
So, I'm using my Aunt's (so-called) computer right now, before she gets home from work, just to let y'allz know that I am still alive. Once the room is taken care of and we move back in, so to speak, (We've moved our mattress out into the living room and have been sleeping there for the past few nights.) I'll be back online and back with ya.
