I think, that we should add a rule that says.

At the start of every round you must select your weapon of choice. Then you are no longer allowed to cheat to gain yourself a different rifle.

Something along those lines...
Why would I fumble in the dark with this, well I think that when you cheat half way though the round its just as bad as using param ammo. You could have 1 round left and you then cheat to refill all your ammo. This way you are left with infinite ammo and no need to reload.

This would mean that if anyone wants to blind fire then they are wasting valuable ammo. Also it would promote people to take their time and not give their postion away with blind firing.. etc etc Let me know what you think.

If that were the case, I'd have to sling a SVD while running with my M24.

it is a problem kryten because if you do svd or mos you don't get smoke so you will have to throw smoke at first and than do cheat

I like this idea. In the real world you will not have the option to change weapons, you are stuck with what you got. As for smoke that is the players problem. They should have to choose what weapon fits them best and stick with it. If you do use svd or mos you have to play with no smokes, that is the risk you have to take and plan your assault accordingly.

If we add any more rules, its gonna be hard to enforce them. Although it may get easier over time. Just my 2 cents.

Well if you said you can choose your weapon(s) at spawn point but after you start moving thats it. So you could choose 2 weapons or you could just pick up a dead person weapon???

Im sure acedeal and the admins though about this when they made the rules, but i like to be able to change my gun, like if i have the SVD and what a gun with a bi-pod i want to be able to switch without having to get 2 guns and the start.

Using CHANGECLASS to reload, and using PARAMSAMMO do have their differences. Although CHANGECLASS will dramatically shorten the reload times on weapons such as the M24 or Mosin Nagant, there is still the delay required for the avatar to raise the weapon and open the scope covers, where as PARAMSAMMO just gives you unlimited ammo period, with no reload action necessary (therefore no delay time during which a player is vulnerable). On weapons like the M82, or the Snayperskaya Vintovka Dragunova, (My preferred pair.) the difference between simply reloading, and using CHANGECLASS is almost negligible.

I really don't see much harm in using CHANGECLASS to reload, although there are a few things to watch out for if you do:

1.) Don't CHANGECLASS while in scope. There's a bug (which the Devs probably don't even consider a bug, since it involves cheat codes) that causes your "normal" vision to be locked to a magnified level, if you do so. So, although you can see clearer, farther, and don't have to worry about the scope infringing upon your peripheral vision while scanning for targets, you are greatly hindered should you need to move anywhere. The only way to clear this is to CHANGECLASS to a non-scope (iron-sighted, like an M16) weapon, bring up sights, and then CHANGECLASS again while your sights are up. This, of course, violates sniper server rules, since you'll have to change to a non-sniper weapon.

2.) Don't CHANGECLASS while you have supports down. Again, another game "bug". If you CHANGECLASS with supports down, you will find that you can't turn any further left or right than you could before you CHANGECLASSed, even though you no longer have your supports down. To clear this, you have to re-extend, and retract your bipod again.

I think it is a good idea. I love this game because of high realism it delivers to players and in sniper games I don't like following things:

1/ cheat weapon everytime I think the situation needs another weapon
2/ cheat weapon instead of reloading
3/ unlimited ammo because of cheating new weapons

So what about (this is only suggestion :) :

U can only cheat new weapons in XX seconds from the beginning of the game. Other thing is to be able cheat only once (to have 1 desired or 1 desired and 1 unwanted or in lucky times 2 desired weapons - do not count smokes here), or to be always able carry desired 2 weapons after 2 cheats...
Then cheating new weapon should be prohibited - so no reloading by cheat...

you guys are as much -=DoW=- as me, I laid the foundation, processes and ground work. Come up with soultions, ideas and work them out to the best benefit of all concerned and we can make the needed changes..

Too hard to police.... if we are going to make a rule change I think that it should be one that admons can enforce. This rule would cause our serverrs to be pretty much emtpy....of our own ppl too. (kick, kick, kick, kick)

That's right, but bunnyhopping is the same rule in this light: it frequently occurs at the end of the game in CQC, bunnyhopper kills not-bunnyhopper, wins a game, is told not to do it and match continues. Only admin who sees it, can kick some1 doing it all the time, but CQC is not so common - so bunnyhopping is not so common.
On the other way u can see all cheats happened and it is easy identifiable - "person XY used mpcheat CHANGECLASS xxx" and time is precise too ...

I understand that if it should result in emptying servers, it is not lucky solution :)

And 1 more thing: in the old times admins had to kick out people who run from spawn area with default gun and didn't cheat sniper gun - pretty similar

Hi everybody.
I have a lot of problem with some player who does not noticed the rules of the bridge, and they always rushing through in middle when they are in deffence.
Usually i make a notice for them, and after they kick me.
Is it posssible that one admin visit the bridge crossing more often?
