Alright, I've worked out the details. My friend is gonna host a server on his high-end computer with a T1 line. Up to 20 people can sign up, and it must happen either Wednesday, April 21st, or Thursday, April 22nd, sometime between 10:00am and 11:00pm EST (on either day).

So use this topic to tell me if you want to be in the picture, what times work for you, etc.

-=DoW=- members are encouraged to sign up, though friends of -=DoW=- may also join (and be to the side of the main group, if wanted).

Give me the following information:
Ingame name:
Time Zone (ex. GMT -0500):
Available times (ex. 3:00pm-5:00pm Pacific Wednesday, 11:00am-2:00pm thursday):
------------------------

For me:

Ingame name: gamemastax
Time Zone (ex. GMT -0500): GMT -0500
Available times (ex. 3:00pm-5:00pm Pacific Wednesday, 11:00am-2:00pm thursday): 10:00am-11:00pm EST both wednesday and thursday.

...pictures... what do you mean like ingame screw around screenshots and stuff? I mean... whats the point of this whole ordeal?

Heh, due to the positive feedback in my other topic, I decided that we should have a big group screenshot of as many people of the -=DoW=- family as was possible. And then I (or the image makers in -=DoW=-) could touch it up, add the -=DoW=- logo, etc... It'd just be a neat thing.

LOL a DoW family photo, I like the idea. Slight problem though. You either see all the people and maybe one name OR you see the player list over the players. Unless of course one of the image makers adds the names then all the stuff I just typed turns instantly into a big ol' can of Spam :D

I was thinking of doing that, it's what I meant by touching up/adding logos, etc.

No problem. A few more people sign up and this could actually be a fun thing. I'll coordinate a time that works for all of us after I get this all set up.

HK? Sorry, I don't know where that is. Can you tell me what your GMT offset is? Then I can convert it into EST time.

Oh wait, I got it. That'd be 5:00am (1800 HK time).

Possibly but that's about the time I go to sleep. May not sound like a big deal but when you only get to sleep for about 5 hours on a daily basis every minute is precious!

For those of you light sleepers out there I don't wanna hear it! I'd have no problem sleeping a LOT longer but that's not really an option for me.

This isn't intended as a flame gamemastax, just some things that I noticed from this thread.

1) When trying to organize group projects (like this picture), don't expect that:
a) Everyone has to be interested because you are.
b) That there can be a quick turn around for people to become available.
c) That a personal event will not take precedence over a game item.

2) When you don't get a good turnout, you really shouldn't be bitter towards everyone. It leave a sour note on your efforts and makes people less open to your ideas in the future. Some people would figure "If it doesn't go right, he's just going to get angry and lash out onto everyone. Better stay away instead on getting involved."

3) Really a bad idea to try and push people into a project. Complaining 2 hours after you made a post that no one has responded sets a bad tone.

Again, this isn't intended as a flame, just some words of advice from someone who has done group planning.

And to the moderators, if I stepped over then line, I'm sorry. Feel free to edit (not that you need my permission :o )

Yeah, I know. Sorry about that, I guess I figured that since I took time out of my schedule (I was spending the night at a friend's house), other people would do the same. Stupid me.

Panda

It's all good. Maybe we could try again in the future. I still like the idea and there's a good chance that I'll be able to make it regardless of when it is. (I keep an erratic sleeping schedule.) :)
