My thoughts are with their family's in special, and with all involved in general.
It's another sad day in the history of the war in Iraq.
I'm feeling very depressed at the moment, the moments you hear someone was killed doing the right job always gives me that feeling.
my mood at this moment: :(

I am so sorry to hear that also. It is a d..n shame this cannot be resolved faster. It is a given, more lives will be lost and for what? I believe the answer is oil. That is all we're there for. I don't believe all that humanitarian crap our government is feeding us. It was mentioned in a previous post yesterday, there are plenty of other regions where there are crimes that are more heinous being committed. Are we there? Of course not. There is no oil or natural resources for us to acquire.
I have mixed feelings about the following:
1: I feel we should just pack up and leave - let them sort it out, it's their country.
2: Then I feel, those poor people, no jobs, and a wasted economy, very vulnerable.
I think I lean towards pulling out. We earned our freedom by fighting many battles throughout the ages. We can't do it for them or make them think our thoughts, or believe as we do in many aspects of life.
If they really want us to stay and rebuild their country I don't see them banding together to aid us in the fight against these terrorist or even condemn them. Is it because they are a minority in their beliefs? I don't know, but their actions speak so loud I can't hear what they are saying.
Our actions this past week over there cannot be condoned or forgiven. The poor b..tards at the bottom are being thrown to the dogs, and they shouldn't be the only ones. Don't tell me that this behavior was rampant and the commanders weren't aware of it. How did those "civilian contractors" get there? Civilian contractors, my a..! The CIA had no business there. It was their doing that caused this.
I don't want any more of our boys or other countries soldiers to make this sacrifice for what I believe is an unappreciating population.
We have been the "guardian" of the afflicted for too long. I don't know how we got that job, bu tI think the rest of the world should take over. I think we should stay at home and take care of our own.
I think I just answered my own questionings. Let's get the hell outta there!!!!!!

I agree, pull out so when we make the glass factory none of our boys or friends get hit by the blast.
Actually Iraq is a very strategic position. Terrorist came over here and attached civilians. We dropped troops right in the middle of all the terrorists and asked them to come fight. I believe it was a plan to keep the fight there. :2cents:

Speaking of the Civilian Contractors, this is why my company does not let me travel overseas anymore ie Saudia / Bahrain / Dubia / etc
This is the guy they just killed Sunday. They did not cut his head off, they sawed it off with a knife.
Very distrubing video.
I saw this on the news the other night (only part of it)
Do not watch this , if you in anyway bothered by scenes of murder.

I guess the question is do we leave. I agree with JB (OMG) that we should leave, but we are their now so we have to stay. Was it a good thing we went in, yes, we took the fight to them. What good did we do, we took out the big groups, now all we have are the little ones to deal with (we set them back 5 to 10 years), yes if we leave now without trying to put a goverment in place that works it will happen all over again. I would like us to leave, I will be over their in Feb for my 6 months to a year. I say were doing a good thing. To all the people that died fighting the good fight, I say your deaths were not in vain, and hope that all can understand that.

I agree with JB its about oil. The idea of taking the fight to the terrorists backyard instead of ours is great but they don't want to fight. They want to sneak around and blow up our general public. They know that they can't win a war so they use attacks on innocent civilians to rattle their sabres. Hindsight is twenty twenty but I think one of the "nasty boys" from our worlds special forces should have given Sadam a .50 caliber headache years ago, when they had the chance. Sure some other freak would have usurped power but then shoot him too. I know the practicallity of such an operation is questionable but all this exercise has really accomplished is one large stirring of a hornets nest. I can't see an easy out now, any of those who supported this action living in Iraq won't make it through next winter if there is a withdrawal. Those against it would kill or torture anyone just to be heard. Its ugly, the troubling part is I believe it has not even started yet. The children orphaned in these battles are going to develope into new Husseins, Bin Ladens and Abu Nidals. All those of middle-eastern dissent will be tainted by the constant scrutiny of their lives and motives, breeding hatred and mistrust among neighbours. Enough I don't know what the answer is but I don't believe anything will ever be the same again. Wildman you be careful, we will be praying for your safe return and those serving with you. Wow I suddenly feel gloomy :(

It is very disturbing to hear when someone dies, especially when you can relate to that person or even see them in your mind.
Freedom carries a price. That price is lives. Unfortunately lives of youen men and women all over the world are paying that price now instead of just a couple of countries going at it. When the War for Independance of the United States of America was in full swing, many people had doubts about it because of the lives that were being lost. Many belived that Young men and women were throwing their lives away for nothing. Today the United States of America stands tall as the worlds leading Free Nation. Americans have more choices and freedoms to do what they will than any other nation in the world. All because the people who died in the War for Independance. Those people died knowing what they were dieing for. They died believing they were sacraficing for a good reason, and they did.
It is a very sad moment when someone dies. It saddens even our world leaders who have to make the decitions to send our troops to their deaths possibly. The ones who suppress the lives of others by being tyrants and murderers will pay. If not in this life, definatly the next. The ones who sabatoge freedome and kill the ones who are there to offer it. They will pay dearly. They will pay a thousand times the cost for wich they have charged others by taking their lives.
When you think of the men and women who are fighting for freedom and have died. Know that they are heroes and died for the greatest cause in this life. Honor them by supporting they rest of the troops who are there. Help them by writing letters and sending them care packages, even if you do not know them.
SALUTE.

Mine thoughts are also with this soldier and even more is family he leaves 2 little children :-?: .
I think that Mr Berg who had been killed or executed is one of the many who are going 2 follow. What happens when a soldier will get caught or one or 2 more business man ....
I also have say pull them back we got nothing 2 do there but then again why not helping? but then you ask why not having our soldiers in more then one country it is a dilemma I guess. I got mixes feelings about this subject hard 2 decide what side your on.
