Hello all,
I'm back from the land of 2.1. Well a new and very nice addition to the AAO system. I very much like the new maps and weapons systems. The stryker vehicles are very effective and vulnerable, a great combination. As always remember the Stryker has a larger cal. weapon and it can penetrate vehicles and boxes. Entry into a vehicles is from the rear and use the E key when prompted for entry. Only one person at a time per vehicle. Three strykers available on Arctic. Only the defending team may use a stryker. They appear as BMPs if you are on assault. They can be destroyed with 2 rpg rounds. They do run out of ammo but after about 20 secs they auto reload. Fog seems about right and timing from spawn points to objectives is great. Also on the F3 screen you now see how many are on each team prior to your choice, a nice little extra.
Village is a new twist on Weapons cache se and CSAR SF. Lots of rooms lots of concealed spaces. shadows to hide in. Lots of twists and turns to get lost and befuddled. Not as predictable as CSAR.
Anyway remember once you're on 2.1 you can never go back, unless you hide a clean version of 2.0 in another directory. There are about 800 servers on 2.1 already. And I'm sure that as soon as a patch is created we are going to find out that a couple of these maps are great sniper maps. Best of luck!!
