I had left -=DoW=-Acedeal a pm on the FS forums asking him if he wanted to have some fun this weekend. I offered a snipers only challenge on the bridge for this weekend. Please feel free to come to www.thefiringsquad.org and post in our forums. The challenge has been pasted in our members section which all DoW members will be able to see and post in after they register with our forum. In case you didn't know the all powerful and good friend of FS Acedeal has accepted FS as a clan ally. So I figured we should all get together and have some fun sniping each other and get to know each other.

I will be checking this post to see if any DoW members are interested in this challenge for this weekend

March 14,15,16. please pick one of the dates and lets try to get this thing moving so we can all meet and snipe to the wee hours of the morning.

Thanks lago, I just needed something to do to get my mind off of things for the day. I figured why not do something fun and see how many new people we could meet. I hope to see alot of the DoW members register on the FS forum. We have fun and when I am in a good mood I always make people laugh.

Need at least 8 to 10 peeps to sign up. As we know some will not be able to sty the whole match.
Also, need to figure out how many rounds will make a match, and how many matches decide the winner.

If good with Mschadt, we can use dow_II as it holds 12 peeps. And he did a great job setting up the server the last clan match we had.

Also, seeing how this will be a Combat match, the Combat awards are up for grabs on this type match.

My weekend plans are looking a little to random right now so once ya'll set a date I'll see if it works and just sit around as an alternate.

All -=DoW=- members will need to have Teamspeak installed, http://www.teamspeak.org (Plan on having teamspeak installed by tommorw if you can so we can work out any bugs that you are having with your client.

everyone that is going to play will need to be in the -=DoW=- IRC channel approx 15 / 30 mins before start of match, so that any issues can be dealt with before game.

Need at least 2 peeps that are going to be there the entire time, to be the offical score keepers. This is not so much for how much we are going to hand F^S a$$ to them, but for our awards. Top 3 Snipers will receive Superior Sniper Award. If this is 2nd award then I will come up with a way to designate that. (gold star on Sniper Award, oak Cluster or something for getting it again). (We really do not need to keep score against F^S, as we all know they are going to get a little OWNAGE, or in l33t D00d speak p0wned :banger:

I ment clint not server. I had AAIRC, WinMX, Winamp, TeamSpeak (Logged into the outcast's server), Trillian, BlackICE, and probably another 10-15 background processes. It got a little pingy until I killed a few of those.

last time I tryed setting the server so it would do that but it didn't work last time. I set the max players and players per team higher than needed assuming that it would alow people to switch where they needed to be when they needed to be there. So we might have to have everyone log out and log backin or something.

If you need a server, since you guys are allies with HALO they have a server that can hold 32 (the max AA allows) that they would probley let you use, on a 1 MB up and down connection.

Looks like 2100 GMT will be about the right time to get this started on Sat the 15h.

So, need to get on IRC -=DoW=- channle approx 15 mins before the match starts. So that we can get any issues sorted out.

it would have to be DoW II, i just talked to sumo and he said that the HALO server was for HALO use only i doesn't matter if you are an allie or not, and i ask him if we could use it in future TWL matchs and he is just like no, so he is very protective of his server.

Alright since we need a time let's go with 0200gmt-1800pst-2200est On the 15th. So get on Teamspeak and AAIRC -=DoW=- channel 30 to 15 minutes before the start of the match to get things situated. Make sure your IP hasn't been firewalled before the match. Now please return your tray tables to their upright and locked positions and enjoy the ride.:) Oh yeah we'll need official scorers, people who can stay for the entire match. Need to take a screen shot between matches for score keeping. For DoW people there are awards ;) to be won here so we gotta keep score. So do your best and I'll see you through my scope on the battlefield. :mrgreen:
