Hey DOW! First of all, I'd like to say how much I love playing on ur sniper server. It's great fun!

The biggest problem, though, is people don't read/know the rules, so they venture out of bounds (denfense on cp, etc). So, I was thinking. In the upper right hand corner, it always says what portion of the map you are on (Assault Fork, Central Peak, etc), so wouldn't it be an easy script to write that whenever someone goes out of bounds, it warns them, and gives them like 10 seconds to get back in bounds, and after that it either kills them or kicks them? I don't know what kind of interface AA provides for, but I know this would be a very simple script for a game like T2, which I've done some modding in. Obviously it's somewhat mod-able, since we all spawn with sniper rifles. :)

Interesting Idea however, I'm afraid it mostly wouldn't work. The best that could be done would be to rename the areas to tell them they are out of bounds. Also AA does not support or condone the moding of the game in anyway shape or form. However I will look at what could be done because it is a very good idea if it can be made to work.

I just found out that 1.6.0 will be out in the next day or two *fingers crossed*. So I'll have to see just what the changes are.

I don't think it could be made to work very easily without having to have the player install some sort of extra mod on their side, since the HUD is more than likely generated by the client, not the server.

Coby is probably right. And also the MOTD should work in this version so that allows us to show the rules just before each round.

it would be cool if it worked, but that is a lot of coding involved in doing that. and the [DEV]'s don't like ANYONE messing with there work :D they probley want mschadt ban for doin the spawn with snipers :D

rofl. that's kinda wierd. normally, a MOD community is supported, due to increased replayablity. maybe they don't want to introduce more cheating possibilities?
