Important: Fake-Patch around! This is a nonofficial Release.
Please be aware of this File ( this is a beta - if you going to install final you will have to make a complete reinstall) and wait until the patch is official released and available - we will inform you then.
This includes the link on militarysim.com
Has not anyone NOT noticed that the official servers HAVE NOT been upgraded yet, thats a big clue to me that the patch is not out yet.

Those dev's need to get together on this and tell us the truth. I down loaded mine from a link on the americasarmy.com website so if it's a beta it's there own darn fault. It's what my server is running and people are playing it.

We have been told a straight out no, about the latest patch of the AA game, update1.6.0.
There is a bogus 1.6.0 out, it isn't the official patch, and might contain undesired files. As a good patron of the AA community, we will not host this, nor link to any files that aren't given at the proper time.
We are sorry to inform the users of intelrecon that the leaked patch isn't the official one released by the UNITED STATES ARMY.
And give a warning...
"Download at your own risk"
When the proper time is at hand, we will ASAP get the right file up on our server, and let the registered users have full access to our bandwidth
We will maintain our integrity and wait till the proper command is given to host the latest update

Well, whatever it was, it obviously had to be a fake... your posts were all shortly before 2000, Eastern and it is now after 2200. I just checked the servers, and they're still running 1.5, and there's no mention that I see in any of the usual spots on the AA site (aside from possibly the forums, which I never check) of a new update.
So... what did I miss while I was out getting computer parts and changing a flat?

Well I installed it and WOOT!!!! :woot: ATI HAS FOG!!! YAHOOO!!!! THE LONG AWAITED DAY HAS COME!!!
Only one small problem... BITCH CRASHES LIKE IT'S IN A DEMOLITION DERBY!!!
Then again, so did 1.5 for about the first week or so after release. Is this common? Does the game just need time to adjust to your system, or vice versa or something?

The server have to get all up to speed and get bugs worked out, they will be really uncrasy soon :)
AND OMG YOU GUYS SEE THE PINGS???? I HAVE BEEN SEEING HALF THE SERVER 100 AND BELOW AND THE OTHER HALF 150-200 OR BELOW, NO LAG!!!!!!!!

also they added some ne auth servers I think there are 6-7 now where as there were 3 before. but ya the auth servers have been very glitchy.

Dunno about y'allz, but my FPS has been horrid lately. Always in the red. 15 and lower is what it reports, but what I see looks absolutely normal. (Most of the time.) What's up with that?

Hello i got the patch yesterday and it was an update 1.5-1,6 but not the full version,but it is the new patch,and i have played on it,and tried to start own server,and it says server not authorized yet....and i got manual 1.6 too..so its not a fake,cause the update is released by us army,and it worked
Man i don't know what you have seen but it is a beta you even will see radio tower called "test5"it works but not perfectly you can download right now only the full for free but no patches yet that aren't beta maybe going to be later who knows

It's the exact same with the $2 full install I can't find a difference and I can use the game files interchangeably.

get get your FPS stats just hit ~ and type stat fps
but i don't know what you prob is coby, im gettin 35+ on radio tower, AA engine rocks
i had to change for sometime till i buy a ti to radeon with 64 sdram you better don't know what fps i get on the ultra lowest resolution !!! on radio tower something between 10 - 20 !!!

yep, the ATI cheaters are outta there :) but i have a GF2 64MB SDRAM and i get 35+ on RT
