Whatever Happened to Mountain Pass?

Just went on AA tonight for the first time since my last re-format, and found that we no longer have any Mountain Pass servers!

What's up with that? Mountain Pass is the absolute BEST map to snipe on!

Also, just out of curiosity, is there any special reason -=DoW=- 1 was on Insurgent Camp? I never really figured that one for sniper-only, although I know some people host it that way. Personally, I see it as an open invitation to CQC-ers.

We were testing some maps out tonight. On DoW_1.

MP server is being worked on , mschadt is putting linux, xbox and a few other things on the server. So it may be down for a bit.

Oh yeah, I think I remember him saying something about trying to run his AA server off an XBox. That should be interesting.

I got the Xbox to run Linux. Now I just have to figure out how to install KDE and then find an emulator that will run the AA:O server. Or wait another month or two and put a version of win2k on it. I also swapped out the 10gb hard drive for a 120gb.

Anyway Coby I too miss mountain pass however radio tower now holds a special place in my heart. So I set my server to rotate between Mountain Pass and Radio Tower every 8 rounds (2 4 round matches). This may vary well prove to be catastrophic however I will attempt to make it work. On the down side my server isn't showing up in the game browser right now since it had been down the past few days. But it should start showing up soon.

P.S. if the rotating server works I can also put up River Basin or any other maps that are requested.

No I was running it out of my dorm room at college (hence the free high speed T1 connection). But it's down for at least the summer. I don't know if I'm going back to that college next year. They lost a bunch of my paper work and I still haven't received my grades from the first semester. :evil: :evil:

Problem is they seem to have lost there own papers. I have copys of all mine but I'm just getting sick of that school and it administration.

Hate to tell you this Mschadt, but that is more common than you would like to think. I had simular problems when I went to college (1994-1998).
